Rahul Gandhi expressed, “It is not the voice of political leaders or political parties against the BJP's misuse of administrative and legal power, including the misuse of money and power. It is the voice of innocent people and the youth.”

He referred to the arrival of lakhs of innocent people and young people at Ramlila Maidan to join the Dilli Chalo protest, raise their voices, and deliver a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and ECI Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar regarding alleged vote chori (vote theft) through the EVM vote-counting process and the deletion of opposition voters from electoral rolls in the name of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The allegations concern attempts to win Assembly and Parliamentary elections in 2024 in Haryana, West Bengal, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and other states by defeating opposition candidates.

However, Delhi Voice News Agency (DVNA News) observed that, while arriving at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi for the Dilli Chalo protest, only a few non-political local residents and people from outside Delhi were seen joining the march. In contrast, lakhs of leaders from opposition political parties, particularly Congress, were seen marching towards Ramlila Maidan on 1 November 2026 to protest against the BJP government.

The Dilli Chalo protest meeting at Ramlila Maidan was also attended by Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Tejashwi Yadav, and others. While addressing the gathering, they also spoke about the alleged misuse of the ED, CBI, and legal proceedings, as well as threats, describing these actions as part of a BJP conspiracy to dominate and weaken the opposition.
