Priyanka Gandhi arrived at Guwahati International Airport ahed of Assembly Electioni 2026 for strengthen and encourage grassroots level and Black level leaders amid amid internal party tension and candidate selection . During her two day visit in Assam ,She goes to Mother Kamakhya temple for blessings and pandas ( temple prists) blessed her to be India's prime Minister . Priyanka is cordially welcomed by vast road side public gatherings , Assam people and Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. All Assam Pradesh Congress Committee ( APCC) opposition leader MLA Debobrot Saikia , AICC general Secretary and incharge of APCC Jitendra Shing etc. with traditional Assamese song with dhol-pepa (music instruments), Assamese traditional national anthem beautiful song of making Bor Asom (great Assam) at Congress party head quarter Rajiv Bhavan in Guwahati. At present she remains comment whether Congress will support to regional party or UDF in Assam while asked by reporters . During her two days visit she is scheduled to hold extensive screening meeting and interact with party members , secretary , political affairs committee members . She will also hold discuss one by one MLA , MP and district president , secretary on party tickets for candidate selection ahed of poll .
