After seeing a thick layer in several parts of the National Capital Delhi and its NCR region, a few people screamed. It seemed that the air quality in some areas viz. Noida, Anand Vihar, Vivek Vihar, Gurgaon, etc. remained poor, maybe due to slow winter wind and also because of the Diwali festival.

However, soon, some citizens, students, and activists gathered at JANTAR MANTAR in Delhi to raise awareness of the atmospheric crisis in the National Capital, noticing the Delhi Government for speedy action on pollution.

Meanwhile, Delhi CM REKHA GUPTA has directed, as the first step, to install SPRINKLERS and ANTI-SMOG GUNS year-round in all buildings taller than five stories in Delhi.

Of course, Delhi Environment Minister MANINDER SINGH, earlier this year, had followed the same design to remove dust and carbon on Lodhi Road in Delhi during his inspection.

The DELHI PWD Department is seen ready with this ₹4 CRORE MIST SPRAYING PROJECT to curb pollution—at first, at ANAND VIHAR, which is one of Delhi’s most polluted places, including Vivek Vihar, Narela, Jahangirpuri, etc.—to control worsening air pollution in the Nation’s Capital.

Sprinklers will spray RO-treated water per hour, operating in two shifts between morning and night.

This ₹4 CRORE MIST SPRAYING PROJECT includes five years of operations, maintenance, and security. Work costing ₹2 CRORE is to be completed by next month, 2025.

However, Delhi CM REKHA GUPTA also directed to change office timings in government offices and DMC (Delhi Municipal Corporation) from this 15th November to 15th January next year—changing timings in government offices from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and in DMC from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.—due to traffic congestion and the cold season, to curb pollution in the Nation’s Capital, Delhi.
