Delhi Govt Identifying Places for Mini Secretariats

One-Stop Relaxed Quicker Solution Hubs for Delhi Government Services Under One Roof

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has once reaffirmed through the establishment of mini secretariats in Delhi to resolve public problems quickly and actively β€” bringing and designing key departments of Delhi government services under one roof within each district.

According to sources, the Delhi Government has initially launched work on five mini secretariats, including the districts of New Delhi, North, South, West, and Shahdara, on the basis of available land. However, the land identification process for the remaining six districts still remains unsettled. Delhi has a total of 11 revenue districts.

The government has identified construction sites for mini secretariats in Pahar Ganj (East Delhi), Dwarka (South-West Delhi), and Motibagh (New Delhi), but these are still not confirmed, according to official sources. It is also heard that several public works and issues will be transferred from Civil Lines, the Delhi Secretariat at ITO, and offices at Kashmere Gate to the new mini secretariats.

After several meetings of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta regarding work proposals, guidelines, and designing β€” held with district committee chairmen, district magistrates (DMs), Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), and other concerned departments β€” authorities have initiated steps to swiftly identify the required land for the five mini secretariats.

In fact, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta plans to create boundaries in 11 districts equivalent to the 12 zones of MCD, ensuring that no boundary is disturbed for any kind of work. The boundaries of all revenue districts will be realigned under MCD to ensure better coordination, prevent administrative confusion and boundary-related problems, and enable faster resolution and delivery of civic services and public issues.

After setting various departments of the Delhi Government under one roof through the mini secretariats in each district,Β Public do not have to visit long-distance allotted government offices of Delhi frequently, feeling tired, irritated, and harassed.
